This Sunday, I went to church service and the topic was about Relationships. There was something he said that stood out to me…
The speaker said, “Every relationship around you should reflect where you’re going, not where you came from.”
If you are trying to make something of yourself, but everyone surrounding you is either discouraging you from doing it or are not making an effort to better themselves, maybe it’s time to re-evaluate. Think about changing who you decide to spend most of your time with because they are probably going to end up delaying your progress. (Birds of a feather flock together!)
This doesn’t mean to get rid of your friends, you just should start looking for new connections. People who can also help guide you in the direction where you’re trying to go.
For example, if you’ve always wanted to start your own Real Estate company, you would do the research to get there of course, then you would start trying to connect with people who are in this type of business.
To find these people, you can ask around to find out if anyone would have information about going into real estate.
Another option is to maybe join some type of real estate club or organization in your area. Once you find these people, let them know what you’re trying to do and they will give you the information you need, maybe more.
There’s nothing like hearing the information directly from the mouth of someone who has “been there, done that” along with little tips that you can’t find on the internet or by reading a book.
If you start changing up your circle and filling it with those who have similar goals as you, you will most likely start to notice progression with your goals.
What do you think about this? Did you change up your friend circle and see different results? Let me know by commenting below!
