My First Smoothie Bowl!

Hey y’all! So I’m excited to show you my smoothie bowl that I made for the first time!

I normally make regular smoothies but this morning I wanted to try something different. I whipped up a strawberry banana smoothie bowl. I think it turned out great!

Here’s the recipe:

Handful of frozen strawberries

2 frozen bananas

Almond milk

And ice to make thicker (optional)

-Put everything in the blender and blend until you reach your desired consistency. Since my blender is not very strong, I had to add more almond milk to make it easier to blend the ingredients.

-I then topped it with fresh strawberries and bananas along with granola and hemp seeds for added nutrients!

How did I do?! Have you made a smoothie bowl before? If so, what is your fav recipe?! Maybe I’ll give it a try and share a post about it!

Homemade Churros!

I found an easy recipe on Pinterest and they turned out really good! We gobbled them down within minutes while watching the new Game Of Thrones episode!

Pizza & Brew in NYC!

I discovered an interesting restaurant a few weeks ago called pizza & Brew. The decor of the restaurant looked so welcoming and I knew anything involving pizza had to be good! Haha! So my hubby and I went to this past weekend.

They have a variety of pizzas, Italian dishes, burgers, and more! They also have a good selection of beer and you can even buy a pitcher for your table!

Here is the Tomato Bruschetta that we ordered for an appetizer. Yum!

I ordered A La Vodka Pizza that had bacon chicken cutlets and a la vodka sauce substituted for tomato sauce.

My hubby ordered the classic margarita pizza and we also had a pitcher of Sam Adams Winter Lager.

I have to say that everything hands down was amazing! Can’t wait to go back which will probably be next week! =D

Jewel Of Himalaya!

My husband and I went on a dinner date with our friends at Jewel of Himalaya which is an Indian restaurant in Yonkers.

I’ve never been here before but I heard great things about the food so I was excited to give it a try! I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan which are two of my favorites! The food was so delicious, I left the restaurant completely full and satisfied lol! The staff was very attentive, friendly, and made us feel super comfortable. If you’re in the area, you should definitely check out this restaurant!

Made Something New For Dinner!

I wanted to make something different for dinner last night. So I ended up making crab legs!

I’ve never made them before so I got an easy recipe from Pinterest on how to prepare them. Along with the crab legs, I also made shrimp pasta in a garlic lemon butter sauce, corn on the cob, and garlic bread!

It was a messy dinner with cracking all the crabs but it was fun haha and tasty too!

Have you made crab legs before? If so, how do you prepare them? Let me know in the comments!

Something New For Dinner!

I love cooking salmon and wanted to try a new recipe I got from Pinterest!

I decided to make breaded salmon nuggets last night. It’s a very easy recipe! You cut up the salmon in chunks, and season them. Toast panko bread crumbs with a little olive oil and spices until gold brown. Cover salmon with flour, then egg, then bread crumbs. Bake them at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20-25minutes or until the salmon is fully cooked.

I served it with pasta and marina sauce and everything turned out really good! I will make this again in the future! 😁

Sushi at Tomo Asian Bistro Restaurant in NYC!

I got the chance to eat a lovely meal at this restaurant called Tomo Asian Bistro in Yonkers, NY.

I ordered the chicken teriyaki with rice and the dinosaur roll. I’ve never eaten here before and OMG the sushi was delicious!!! I already can’t wait to go back again haha!

My husband had salmon teriyaki with rice and shrimp avocado roll.

My friend had the Godzilla roll, Manhattan roll, and salmon dumpling (forgot to take a pic of this one).

Here are some pictures of the mouth watering food that we enjoyed!

Delicious Impromptu Spaghetti Dinner Recipe!

I wanted to try out a meatless pasta dish for dinner last night. So I decided to create a yummy recipe! I didn’t really use exact measurements so I’ll try to do the best I can with providing all the info! Check it out!

Ingredients:

-Salt, pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes

-Olive oil or vegetable oil

-Spaghetti noodles

-2 cloves of garlic chopped

-1/3 of a red onion chopped

-Baby portabella mushrooms chopped

-Zucchini chopped

-Cherry tomatoes chopped

-Half can of tomato paste

-Half container of Marinara sauce

-Handful of baby spinach chopped

-2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

-Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions:

I started out by cooking the spaghetti. As that cooked, I prepared the sauce. I chopped up garlic and red onions and added to a medium sauce pan. In 1 tablespoon of olive oil, I sautéed the garlic and onions for about 1 minute on medium heat.

I chopped mushrooms, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes and added to them to the pan and mixed together with the garlic and onions. I seasoned with salt and pepper and let cook for about 2 minutes.

I added half can of tomato paste and mixed in with the veggies and let simmer for a few mins to let the sauce thicken a bit. Added half can of marinara sauce and mixed all together. I seasoned with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes, covered pan, and let cook for 10 minutes on low heat.

I added about 2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream to sauce and stirred in chopped baby spinach and let flavors blend for about 3 minutes. Fold in the cooked spaghetti and that’s it! Time to dig in!

I garnished with parsley and served with Texas toast garlic bread! I was very pleased that my impromptu recipe turned out really delicious!
