What is Sage?
Sage is from the Salvia plant family. The Latin word for Sage is “salvere” which translates “to heal”

Research shows that burning sage can help reduce bacteria in the air. This can help eliminate airborne pathogens decrease your chances of getting sick.
2. Improved Mood
Shahinaz Soliman, MD says that burning sage helps to achieve a sense of calm, just the same as meditation. It’s also said to improve your concentration and stimulate creativity.
3. Helps With Insomnia
Negative ions are released into the air when burning sage. Negative ions are believed to produce biochemical levels that relieve tension and stress, which aids in helping you have a better sleep.
Some instances that I decide to smudge ( aka burn sage) is after I do my morning meditation, before and after I have guests over my place, and when I need to a boost of energy.
The smell of white sage is refreshing and makes me feel like I’m in nature! It also a great form of self care because it has amazing benefits for the my mind, body, and soul!
