My Memorial Day Weekend!

Hey everyone! I know it’s late but I wanted to share with you what I did this holiday weekend.

My husband and I was able to ride the Surey bikes on the boardwalk. These bikes have multiple seats so the whole family can ride along while enjoying the beautiful views of the beach!

We went to hang out on the beach on Saturday which was a beautiful day! The sun was shining with a nice breeze flowing! I didn’t go all the way in the water but just enough to get my feet wet!

We were able to stop by Waffle House too! They are all over the place down here! There’s almost a Waffle House on every corner haha!

Some of my in laws live in VA Beach so we had a BBQ on Sunday. We had good food, drinks, and played a few games!

After all the fun I had, I didn’t want to go back home! Plus I love being at the beach haha! Hope you all enjoyed your Memorial weekend as much as I did! 😊

Top 10 Things To Bring To The Beach (That You May Forget!)

Bring a gallon of water and a few water bottles. This helps with saving space in your cooler for your other treats!

The sun brings joy to everyone but it can be a killer at times and may be hotter than expected! Makes sure to bring sunscreen with an SPF that best suits you! To avoid sunburn I recommend EVERYONE to wear sunscreen!

Bring your own umbrella to get some shade  because it can get pretty hot on the beach! Buying or bringing an umbrella beforehand also helps save you a few bucks from having to rent an umbrella at the beach!

This is a great tip for adults who have kids! A good way to keep track of your kids is to bring a whistle along! Teach your family the “family whistle” that you’ve come up with and use it whenever you need to get their attention!

Use the blanket as an area to lay your bags and other items on top like your bag, towels, etc.

You’re probably thinking “why would I need this?!” Well you know when you get to your car and you still have sand on your feet?! All you have to do is keep a jug of water in your trunk and wash off those sandy feet! Or you could wipe baby powder on your feet and the sand will come right off!

To avoid having wet seats after driving back from the beach, bring a change of clothes! It makes life so much easier!

For those who prefer not to swim, bringing a nice and comfy beach chair will be great for relaxing on the beach!

Bringing a radio can lighten up the mood and drown out the noise of those around you!

If you want to chill on the beach, bring a good book or magazine! If you want to be a little more active, bring football, frisbees etc. to have a good time with your family and friends!

Enjoy your beach day! =)

His Motives…

She is relaxing on the beach enjoying her much needed alone time.

Sitting in her beach chair in her bathing suit with sunglasses on and her favorite drink in hand, looking into the distance.

Noticing her admiring the scenery, he approaches her and starts to converse with her.

A little hesistant and curious of his motives, she decides to join the conversation.

He comments on the amazing ocean view with all its different shades of blue.

He talks about the nice breeze along with the abundant sunshine present.

She brightens up as she is surprised that he notices the surrounding beauty just as she does.

Unraveling, she begins to let her guard down and share her observations with him.

A few minutes have passed and the nice and simple conversation has ended. She noticed that not once did he comment on her body, her beauty, what she was drinking, or what she was doing there all by herself.

She admired that and was relieved. Leaving  her with a permanent internal smile as she continued to enjoy her day at the beach.
