-Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and honey

-With the mixer on low speed, beat in the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.

-Mix in the quick oats and the old fashioned oats

-Form the dough into balls about 1 tablespoon in size and place 2 inches apart on your baking sheet with parchment paper

-Bake in the middle rack for 9-11 minutes

-Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire cooling rack to finish cooling. Then enjoy!

Honey Mustard Salmon Recipe!

Hey guys so I love eating salmon and wanted to try out a different recipe this time around. I decided to make Honey Mustard Salmon!

Ingredients:

-salmon filet

-olive oil

-3 cloves garlic (chopped or minced)

-garlic powder

-sea salt

-black pepper

-red pepper flakes (optional)

-dijon mustard

-honey

-soy sauce

-chives

Directions:

1. Rinse off salmon with cool water and pat dry with paper towel. Season both sides with seasonings.

2. In a bowl, mix Dijon mustard, honey, soy sauce, and garlic all together and set aside. I didn’t use exact measurements and kind of eyeballed how much to use.

3. Use medium skillet and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and cook salmon skin side down on medium heat. Cover skillet and let cook for about 3-4 minutes.

4. Use spatula to flip salmon over. Glaze the salmon with some of the honey mustard mixture and cover. Save the rest of the mixture for later. Turn on low heat and let cook for about 2-3 more minutes. Make sure to watch closely.

5. Once salmon is done cooking, glaze again with remaining honey mustard mixture.

6. Top with chives and red pepper flakes (optional) and enjoy your salmon with a side of white or brown rice!

If you try this recipe, let me know how it turned out! 😊

DIY Turmeric Face Mask For Glowing Skin!

TURMERIC BENEFITS

Turmeric helps reverse the effects of hyperpigmentation.

This spice contains curcumin which has many benefits including being antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.

Curcumin also soothes skin irritations, treat burns and relieve the pain of sunburn.

Turmeric mask also helps treat acne, eczema, and psoriasis. It reduces inflammatory, facial redness, and promotes skin healing!

HONEY BENEFITS

Honey has so many health benefits which include treating acne, reducing appearance of pimples, scars, blemishes, and generally improves the skins appearance.

It also contains antibacterial, antiseptic, and antioxidant properties. Antioxidants protect the skin by not allowing toxins to harm the skin. Honey is also a skin moisturizer and attracts and holds water and at the same time dried out bacteria.

MILK BENEFITS

Milk contains lactic acid which helps soften dry, hard skin and reduce skin roughness.

It also soothes irritated skin, repairs aged skin, and lightens skin!

So know that you know the benefits of each ingredient, let’s get to the mask!

Ingredients:

1tsp Turmeric

1tsp honey

1tsp milk

Directions:

-Combine all ingredients together in a bowl making sure it has a bit of a paste consistency so it’ll adhere to your face.

-Wear a t-shirt that you’re okay with getting messy because tumeric DOES STAIN so be careful!

-Apply Turmeric mask evenly to clean face. I used a clean make up brush for easier application.

-Leave mask on for about 20 minutes then wash off with cool water. Gently dry your face with a washcloth.

Warning: Make sure to do a skin test by putting the mask on a small area of skin befor applying to your face. Turmeric and honey can cause an allergic rash in some people which can cause hives, contact dermatitis, redness of skin, blisters, itchiness, and swelling.

When I washed off my mask, my skin felt so soft and smooth! I will do this mask again in the future to help get rid of my hyperpigmentation!

If you do this mask, let me know how it worked out for you!

Homemade “Boost Juice”

I came up with an awesome concoction of something I’d like to call “Boost Juice!”

Ingredients:

*2-3 cups of Water

*Chamomile Tea (1 bag)

*Green Tea (2 bags)

*1 dash of Turmeric

*3 cap fulls of ACV

*2-3 tbsp Honey

*1-2 Lemon and/or Orange slices

Directions:

1. Brew green tea and chamomile tea in my Tea Kettle. Then I transfer the liquid to a bigger container.

2. I then add the Tumeric, ACV, Honey, and squeeze 1-2 slices of lemon/orange juice into the mix.

3. I stir the mixture and let the flavors marinate in the fridge and cool down.

4. Then I pour the juice into my bottle that I take to work and squeeze an extra orange slice into it.

5. Drink up!

It has a nice light citrus flavor with a hint of green tea. I really love this self made “boost juice” because it adds a boost of healthy benefits to my body!

All these ingredients have combined benefits including:

anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidant properties, lowers risk of heart disease, energy booster, helps with migraines, aids in digestion, lowers blood sugar levels, improves brain function, helps prevent cancer, antidepressant, burns fat, and helps with weight loss!

So I’m definitely winning with this drink!

Thumbs up for healthy homemade drinks!

Yummy Yogurt Bowl!

My yummy breakfast today consisted of Stonyfield Organic Low Fat Strawbery Yogurt, sliced banana, grounded flaxseeds, granola, cinnamon, and honey!

I normally like to eat Greek yogurt but Whole Foods didn’t have the kind that I wanted to get! Oh well, at least that gave me a chance to try out a new yogurt and I actually really like it! Yum!

Thumbs up to yogurt for breakfast!

Where Are You Eating Your Breakfast?

Fun Breakfast Fact:

The most popular place to eat breakfast is at your table at home, either alone or with members of your household, or on your sofa.

I’m enjoying my oatmeal with peanut butter, cinnamon, and honey right here at work! It’s more convenient to eat at work versus at home since I don’t have to worry about rushing to go anywhere!
