Hey I hope you had a fun celebration for Independence Day!
I spent the day in Long Island for a BBQ at an in laws house. We relaxed in the pool most of the time since it was so hot! It was pretty refreshing to be able to chill out in the water!
Our food selection consisted of skirt steak, hotdogs, macaroni salad, potato salad, green salad, watermelon, and more! Yum!
We went home a little early to avoid the traffic going back into the city. But we were able to have front row seats from our window to watch the fireworks last night! It was so beautiful! I enjoyed my July 4th celebration!
Did you do anything exciting for Independence Day?! Comment below! 😊
Good morning my people! How are you?
For Independence Day, I stayed at home and relaxed!
I watched tv shows, I watched a few movies with my husband, and I ordered food!
I had a good time staying at home!
What did you do for Independence Day?
Bring a gallon of water and a few water bottles. This helps with saving space in your cooler for your other treats!
2. GOOD SUNSCREEN
The sun brings joy to everyone but it can be a killer at times and may be hotter than expected! Makes sure to bring sunscreen with an SPF that best suits you! To avoid sunburn I recommend EVERYONE to wear sunscreen!
Bring your own umbrella to get some shade because it can get pretty hot on the beach! Buying or bringing an umbrella beforehand also helps save you a few bucks from having to rent an umbrella at the beach!
This is a great tip for adults who have kids! A good way to keep track of your kids is to bring a whistle along! Teach your family the “family whistle” that you’ve come up with and use it whenever you need to get their attention!
5. EXTRA BLANKET
Use the blanket as an area to lay your bags and other items on top like your bag, towels, etc.
6. JUG OF WATER OR BABY POWDER
You’re probably thinking “why would I need this?!” Well you know when you get to your car and you still have sand on your feet?! All you have to do is keep a jug of water in your trunk and wash off those sandy feet! Or you could wipe baby powder on your feet and the sand will come right off!
7. CHANGE OF CLOTHES
To avoid having wet seats after driving back from the beach, bring a change of clothes! It makes life so much easier!
For those who prefer not to swim, bringing a nice and comfy beach chair will be great for relaxing on the beach!
Bringing a radio can lighten up the mood and drown out the noise of those around you!
10. LOTS OF ENTERTAINMENT
If you want to chill on the beach, bring a good book or magazine! If you want to be a little more active, bring football, frisbees etc. to have a good time with your family and friends!
Enjoy your beach day! =)
