NYC’s BIGGEST PIZZA!!! Home of the Super Slice!

Here in Yonkers is a Pizza shop called Pizza Barn!

They’ve been featured on local news channels, in newspaper articles, and on popular websites like Insider, New York Post and Thrillist.

They are known for their 2 foot long giant pizza slice!

They have a variety of toppings you can choose such as pepperoni, chicken, bacon, hawaiian, vegetarian, and much more!

I decided to grab a pepperoni super slice and it was humongous! The pizza was the same size as the pizza box! Haha!

Whenever you’re in Yonkers, make sure you stop by to grab a super huge slice of pizza!!!

This ice cream shop allows you to personalize your own ice cream bar!

You have a choice of 3 toppings and can also select a white, milk, or dark chocolate drizzle.

The toppings I chose were salted caramel pearls, chopped almonds, and ginger sugar.

My sister’s toppings were white sugar pearls, peanut butter chocolate chips, and salted caramel pearls.

It was fun to see them prepare it in front of you! My mouth was watering just watching them make it haha!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, making my experience even better!

Broadway Show in NYC!

My husband’s birthday was June 30th! So we celebrated during the whole weekend!

Friday we went bowling with family and friends at Bowlmor Bowling Alley in White Plains. Surprisingly I did pretty well since I haven’t played in a long time lol!

Saturday I surprised him and took him to see Phantom of the Opera! He’s been dying to see this showing for the longest time so he was so excited!

I’ve never seen the original Phantom of the Opera so I didn’t know what to expect. The play was pretty good! It had my attention to the whole time! Lol

We headed to BH Kitchen & Bar afterwards to get some good eats! We both ordered BBQ Pulled Pork sandwiches and we devoured them! Haha!

Sunday we went to Jones Beach on Long Island with family. We arrived early because we knew it would be super crowded. Good thing we made that decision because it was pretty empty when we arrived. But as we were setting up our area on the beach, the crowd started flooding in! It was such a nice and hot day! We all got a good tan haha! I love the beach!

After the beach, we went to one of my husband’s favorite restaurants, Roc N Ramen in New Rochelle. They serve ramen noodles Japanese style which includes meats, vegetables, and more! I ordered Curried OxTail Ramen and hubby ordered BBQ Chicken Ramen. So delicious!!!

I have to say that this was a great weekend and I’m so happy my husband enjoyed himself!

Front Row Seats! July 4th Fun!

Hey I hope you had a fun celebration for Independence Day!

I spent the day in Long Island for a BBQ at an in laws house. We relaxed in the pool most of the time since it was so hot! It was pretty refreshing to be able to chill out in the water!

Our food selection consisted of skirt steak, hotdogs, macaroni salad, potato salad, green salad, watermelon, and more! Yum!

We went home a little early to avoid the traffic going back into the city. But we were able to have front row seats from our window to watch the fireworks last night! It was so beautiful! I enjoyed my July 4th celebration!

Did you do anything exciting for Independence Day?! Comment below! 😊

5 Easy Ways To Drink More Water and Stay Hydrated!

Summer is here folks! The weather is starting to heat up and we need to make sure we’re staying hydrated so we won’t pass out!

1. Eat Your Fruits and Veggies

You can keep your body hydrated by consuming fruits and veggies that contain 85 percent or more water. Even though fruits are great sources of water, they’re also high in sugar and can have unwanted calories if you eat too many.

Veggies with high water content:

-cucumber

Fruits with high water content (eat in moderation)

2. Limit Alcohol Intake

The more alcohol you ingest, the more your body will become dehydrated. When you consume alcohol, urination occurs more frequently. This causes the body to lose more fluid which in turn causes dehydration. If you decide to drink alcohol, make sure to drink water in between your alcoholic beverages.

3. Add Flavor!

To make your water more enjoyable, squeeze lemon and/or lime juice into your water. It gives it a much more pleasant taste! Citrus fruits not only make your water taste better, it also a good source of vitamin C, improves skin quality, freshens breathe, and aids in digestion!

4. Dilute Your Drinks

If you can’t resist the urge and have to drink juice or a sugary beverage, water it down a bit by adding water to your drink! Try going for a half water, half juice ratio so you can still taste the sweetness but can also have the dose of water that your body needs.

5. Track Your Water Intake

If you have a hard time drinking water, try using an app to remind you when to drink your recommended cups of H2O!
