Are You Happy?

I had high expectations for my career and personal goals I wanted to achieve once I got into the real world. I thought that if you did the work, you would get what you worked for! But unfortunately that’s not the case for every aspect of life, which I had to learn the hard way, since I’m sort of a control freak!

There’s a lot of waiting and let downs involved in this journey of life. But during these times, we should focus on being patient and growing faith and confidence in ourselves. Make realistic goals that have a realistic timeline. And remind yourself that it’s not the end of the world if things don’t go as planned because chances there’s something better coming your way!

Don’t let friends or family make you feel bad because you haven’t satisfied their expectations of your life. So while you’re doing what you can to reach your goals, always remember to make self care a priority. Then will you be able to find a sense of peace.

For me, I realized that I had to just take it easy and BE GRATEFUL for the things I’ve been blessed with. Just remember that there is someone out there praying for what you are complaining about or taking for granted.

So make it a priority to be able to say at the end of the day, “I’m Happy”!
