I’ve had shrimp and grits one time before years and years ago. And I’ve been craving to have it again! So I decided to make shrimp and grits last night for dinner!
The grits were so filling and it had great flavor! Yum!
Have you ever had shrimp and grits before?
I wanted to make something different for dinner last night. So I ended up making crab legs!
I’ve never made them before so I got an easy recipe from Pinterest on how to prepare them. Along with the crab legs, I also made shrimp pasta in a garlic lemon butter sauce, corn on the cob, and garlic bread!
It was a messy dinner with cracking all the crabs but it was fun haha and tasty too!
Have you made crab legs before? If so, how do you prepare them? Let me know in the comments!
Saturday we hung out with my friend earlier in the day. We actually went to Dunwoodie Pizzeria in Yonkers. My husband got a recommendation for us to try this place out. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza, our friend ordered the buffalo chicken pizza, and my husband ordered a chicken wrap. The food was so delicious!
And it’s funny because this pizzeria is close by and I never heard of or seen it before! I’m glad we went here! They also make homemade Italian ices and sell it all year round! Isn’t that awesome! So we bought a big container of cherry and lemon!
Sunday we went to dinner at this Peruvian Restaurant called Pio Pio in the Bronx for my mother n law’s birthday! I ordered Camarones Cuzco which was a shrimp dish in a citrus sauce with yellow rice.
My husband ordered the Lomo Saltado which was steak mixed in with rice and french fries.
I’ve never had Peruvian food before so the taste and food pairings were a little different for me but my family said they enjoyed everything!
Have you had Peruvian food before?! Comment below!
Last night I made shrimp and calamari pasta with a side of breaded calamari rings!
I also added garlic, red onions, zucchini, and bokchoy.
I seasoned everything with garlic powder, pepper, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and topped everything with marinara sauce!
I took a chance a made breaded Calamari for the first time! It turned out pretty good! I breaded the Calamari with flour and bread crumbs and fried for a few minutes on each side. To finish it off, I topped it with lemon juice and it was so yummy!
Here is the finished product! It was very good! This is my first time making this dish so I’ll definitely make this again in the future!
So yesterday was my 3 year wedding anniversary on January 22! But my husband and I have been together for a total of 8 years! I can’t believe it’s been that long! Time is surely flying by!
We went to BH Kitchen and Bar in Manhattan. I ordered their BH Burger and my husband, Danny, had chicken and waffles. The food was so delicious!
We’re sort of an unconventional couple so instead of going on a vacation or to a fancy dinner, we went to Dave and Busters! We played a bunch of games and we had a good ol time! We practically had the place to ourselves so that was a plus!
We ordered the Carnivore Pizzadilla appetizer, I had their Fire Grilled Salmon with Spicy Rice Medley and Sautéed Spinach and my husband had Bistro Steak and Shrimp With Lobster Alfredo Linguine (substituted for marinara sauce)! And for a bar/game play facility, they have really tasty food! Everything was so delicious! If you’ve never ordered food from Dave and Busters then you’re missing out!
We actually have a dining room table that converts into a pool table/ping pong table so we played each other in pool and ping pong when we came home. We’re pretty competitive so it was definitely a good game!
We may not have the house of our dreams, we may not have a house full of kids yet, we may not be able to travel all over the world, and we may not be as wealthy as we’d like to be.
But we have built a great life together so far, and we are grateful and blessed with what we already have. We have such a good relationship that keeps growing stronger each day and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us! 😊
