I’m One Day Behind!

Hello December! Yes yes I know I’m a little tardy to the party but better late than never haha!

November has been busy for me. I moved to Virginia Beach a few months ago so I’ve been settling into my new place and the area and learning where all the hot spots are!

Also, my parents and little sister came to visit for Thanksgiving so that was nice to see them and we had a great time! Everytime we get together, we always play Heads Up!

Have you played that game before?! It’s like charades but you have to give the guesser clues on what the word is that they have to guess. Plus there are so many different categories that you can choose from! It’s so much fun!

I’ve also gotten into crocheting recently! So far I made 2 winter hats, a headband and infinity scarf set, and now I’m working on making a nice cozy blanket just in time for winter season! If you want to see all the things that I’ve crocheted, let me know and I’ll share them in a new post! =D

Hope you all enjoyed your November! =)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving! I hosted thanksgiving dinner at my house this year.

Our menu consisted of turkey, stuffing, chicken, pulled pork (called pernil), baked ziti, potato gratin, rice and beans, sweet potatoes, pasta salad, and pasteles.

For dessert we had apple pie, vanilla ice cream, and my famous banana nut muffins!

Everything was so delicious and we all enjoyed ourselves! It was so nice to have my family gather at my place on this special day. 😊

My Thanksgiving Weekend!

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! My sister spent thanksgiving with me and my in laws!

Thursday – November 23 Thanksgiving

We had thanksgiving dinner at my mother in law’s home. There were a lot of deliciousness on the menu!

We had turkey, ham, pernil (Spanish pulled pork), baked ziti, rice and beans, pasta salad, baked Parmesan zucchini, and sweet potatoes!

For dessert we had coconut custard pie, flan, apple pie, and vanilla ice cream!

OMG everything was so yummy! My stomach was about to burst after eating all the delicious food! 😋

Friday – November 24

Today my sister and I stayed in during the day. We ate breakfast together and watched American Psycho. It’s a crazy movie but so good! Lol. She also helped me put up the Christmas tree!

My husband’s cousin had game night at her place which was so much fun!!!

Saturday – November 25

My sister and I did a little shopping. We got a few good deals! To finish things up, we stopped by Starbucks! I ordered a Caramel Brûlée latte and my sister ordered a French Vanilla Frappuccino!

My sister wanted to eat seafood so we went to Red Lobster for dinner!

Saturday – November 26

My sister headed back home to Ohio. She took the megabus so we had to drop her off in Manhattan. At first I didn’t think we’d make it in time because we were running very late! The bus was scheduled to leave at 11:35am. Guess what time we arrived?! 11:30am! Whew! But thank God we made it! 😅

I don’t get to see my little sister very often so I’m happy that she came to spend time with us! ❤️

Here a some pictures from the weekend!

Hello November!

I can’t believe how fast time has been flying! Lately I’ve been forgetting what day it is! Haha!

It’s been super cold lately here in NYC! It’s cooler in the mornings and sometimes it warms up later in the day. The temperatures rise to the high 60s sometimes 70s!

But I’ve been wearing my scarf these past few days and have been considering pulling out my hat and gloves too!

Thanksgiving will be here very soon!
My sister is spending Thanksgiving with me and my husband this year so that should be fun!

I’m thinking of doing some Black Friday shopping but ONLINE though! I don’t want to get trampled or worse if I go shopping in store!

Do you know of any good stores to shop online on Black Friday? I was thinking of looking on Amazon, Sephora, Overstock, and Forever 21.

Do you have any exciting plans for this month?! Comment below! ⬇️

The STRANGEST Pizza Toppings You Can Order In The US!

>>Severus Grape Pizza

Location: BROOKLYN, NY

Vinnie’s Pizzeria

This Brooklyn pizza shop has a menu with interesting topping options from kale to ground beef to avocados! The Severus Grape pizza is served with grapes, gorgonzola, roasted red peppers, and a little drizzle of honey!

>>Bananas; The Montrose Pie

Red’s Pizza

Red’s Pizzeria is owned by two Swedish brothers who wanted to introduce Americans to Swedish style pies. These brothers brought the tradition of adding pizza pies topped with bananas to their menu. Some say it reminds them of Hawaiian pizza!

>>Tuna Fish Salad; The Tonno Pizza

The Tonno pizza was served during Lent on Fridays for Roman Catholics who can’t eat meat during this time. But this has become a fan favorite for their customers! The tuna salad is made in house, then spread onto the baked pizza crust, almost serving as the sauce. Then shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, and a special “secret” dressing and seasonings are spread over top and is served cold!

>>Crabs & Old Bay; Crab Pie

Location: BALTIMORE, MD

Matthew’s Pizza

Matthew’s Pizza opened their first pizzeria in Baltimore so they found it fitting to pay tribute to Maryland’s most famous export: crab! The crab pie is topped with crab meat smothered in carmalized onions, with mozzarella and reggianito cheese! Then it’s finished off with Old Bay seasoning!

>>Lobster; Whole Lobster Pizza

Location: GRAMERCY, NY

Florian offers an entire 1 lb lobster (including the head) on top of thin crust, mozzarella cheese, and burrata. The presentation is pretty impressive and it cost $32, perfect choice for date night!

>>Thanksgiving Dinner; Thanksgiving Pizza

Fellini Pizzeria

This creative pizza makes its debut on a single day before Thanksgiving each year, but get this, it’s only available for 24 hours! On this pizza there is slow roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, and cranberry sauce on the side! Fellini takes orders weeks in advance. They can’t offer Thanksgiving  Dinner pie as a regular menu item because it takes them about a week of prep work to prepare for a single day of orders!

>>Frito Pie; Chili Cheese Frito

Location: MILWAUKEE, WI & Other Locations

Ian’s Pizza

Ian’s pizza started as a by-the-slice-pizzeria serving hungry college kids from University of Wisconsin. Their monthly specials always had the weirdest options including the Frito pie! They make their own beef chili in house, spread that over the pie, topped with onions, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and of course crunchy Fritos!

Would you dare try one of these strange pizza slices?! I definitely would! =)

Which one would you try?!
