What is Sage?

Sage is from the Salvia plant family. The Latin word for Sage is “salvere” which translates “to heal”

Some instances that I decide to smudge ( aka burn sage) is after I do my morning meditation, before and after I have guests over my place, and when I need to a boost of energy.

The smell of white sage is refreshing and makes me feel like I’m in nature! It also a great form of self care because it has amazing benefits for the my mind, body, and soul!

  1. I discovered smudging in the last few years when I lived in California. We would smudge with sage after a roommate moved out, to “cleanse” the room of any unwanted energies.

    And smudge with Sweetgrass to allow in good spirits/energies.

    1. That’s awesome! I started learning about smudging when I started learning about meditation and the chakras. I’ve been smudging every since!
